Visiting Artist Roberto Lugo featured on PBS

Ceramicist Roberto Lugo was recently on PBS’s Articulate program. Lugo attend the 2016 Ceramics Symposium at the Lawrence Arts Center as a visiting artist and inspired attendees with his pottery demonstrations and popular art talk.

PBS’s video segment “The Ghetto Potter,” which is also Roberto Lugo’s self-proclaimed nickname, explores the ways in which his art is the product of a convergence between classical forms and the influences of his North Philadelphia neighborhood.
