Thank You & Welcome (Back) Michelle Rogne!

Welcome our newest member of the adult visual arts team, Michelle Rogne!

According to Adult Education program director Kyla Strid, Michelle started taking classes at the Arts Center more than five years ago. Since then, she has consistently continued to grow and push herself as an artist to produce hundreds of beautifully crafted pots every year. She also began stepping up to help in our studios by becoming our ceramics studio intern, an instructor for our youth classes, a substitute instructor, and most recently our Interim Clay Studio Coordinator.

Her contributions at the Arts Center have been enormous. She freely gives her time and energy to help answer questions, process work or clay, test and mix glazes, load and unload bisque kilns, and much more. The hours she has spent helping the clay studio run smoothly are countless. She  has helped load and unload nearly every gas kiln firing for the last four years!

Michelle is in our clay studio almost every day. Next time you see her, please say a huge and enthusiastic THANK YOU to her for dedication and hard work over the years. She is a vital member of the our clay studio!

Michelle Rogne

Michelle Rogne works as a full time ceramic artist, selling her work at art festivals and online. She holds a BS in natural sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtained her art education at the Lawrence Arts Center.
