From Broadway to orchestra to disco, performing arts has it all this spring!

Hello and Happy March! Take a peek at what is coming up!

You’ve got one more weekend to catch the fantastic musical Oliver! Join us during our final weekend of performances March 1-3. Wondering what daring adventure awaits you? After running away from the orphanage run by the heartless Mr. Bumble, Oliver meets the Artful Dodger and is recruited to pick pockets for Fagin. There, Oliver finds a friend in Nancy, but neither she nor the boy is fit for a life of crime.

Our Story Slam series continues on Friday, March 22nd with the theme Breaking Free. Live music begins at 7 pm and the slam starts at 7:30 pm. Never the same story, or evening, twice.

Here is a sneak peek of our very early April line up…

Join us for The Runaway Orchestra, a musical adventure for all ages, April 5-7. Told through puppetry, music, story, and dance, this performance is designed to introduce young people to the instruments and families of the orchestra. There is going to be a new Conductor for the Orchestra and the Violin, Clarinet, Tuba, and Snare Drum aren’t about to stand for it, so off they go into the big city. While there, they are split up and troubles abound until each of the instruments is rescued by Stick, a streetwise character who helps them realize their own strengths. The show will be a feast for the ears, eyes, and imaginations of elementary students and their families.

Also featured on April 6th is our next event in the Theatre and Dance for the Very Young program. Baby Disco: a daytime dance party for 0-6 year olds is created specifically for very young children. Designed in our Play Lab series, all of the music and decorations were created with children as artistic partners in the process. Join us for glow paint, disco balls, snacks, live music, and an open dance floor just for you and your young person! This is a one day only event featuring four daytime discos. Get ready to move and groove!
