Kelly Galloway Kindergarten students take field trips to experience real places

We travel to places such as:

Pendleton’s Country Market—to experience the farm, pumpkin patch, and butterfly exhibit.

Festival of Trees—to view all the decorated trees, especially the one we donated for the Children’s Shelter.

Watkins Community Museum—in celebration of Kansas’ birthday.

Bowersock Power Plant—to learn more about solar energy.

Lied Center—to participate with the ODC Dance Company from California. We got to ride on a school bus.

Prairie Park Nature Center—via city bus to explore the trails and paths.

Natural History Museum at KU—Personalized tour of the museum and behind the scenes. Rode the bus to KU.

Lawrence Public Library—Summer Reading stories and program. Explored part of downtown and stopped at Great Harvest Bread Co. to buy bread for snack time.

The Baker Wetlands—exploring nature, animals, and tracks.

“I learned so much, too, when I accompanied the class to Watkins Museum. The children were able to share life in Lawrence many years ago.”   —KGK parent
