Honoring Neil Salkind: New Presses Arrive in Print Studio in Time For Classes & Future Artist in Residence – Enroll or Apply Today!

In great gratitude for his generous gift of letterpress equipment, the Lawrence Arts Center celebrates the spirit of Neil Salkind. His passion for creativity, community, and life-long learning will live on at the print studio. Thank you, Neil and Leni, for the love and beauty that you have shared!

Last week we said goodbye to our old Washington Press, and hello to some new equipment! The John Talleur Print Studio got an update with a Chandler & Price Letterpress as well as a Vandercook Press. We also want to give a special thank you to Tim O’Brien and Mary Wharff for generously helping us sort the 50+ drawers of new type for the studio. No small feat!

If you haven’t taken a print class in a while, now is the time!

If you are already a printing guru, make sure you submit for our Printmaking Artist-in-Residence position and you’ll get to work with this amazing equipment! Applications are due April 15th. Apply online at SlideRoom.
