One of the best parts of sitting in this seat as Interim Executive Director has been practicing gratitude. Part of my job is to thank the community for their generosity to us. People support us in so many meaningful ways! I got to spend my morning writing thank you cards created by past Artist in Residence, current staff, and even ones made by our pre-schoolers! In response to all the news surrounding our organization over the past six months since I began my time in this position, we have received much needed support. The generosity does not go unnoticed.
Thank you to all of you that have given and continue to give of your talents and gifts! It warms my heart, and I wanted to share this with you to warm yours. The people of Lawrence love the Arts Center, you recognize its tangible and intangible values, you believe as I do, that it means something to what life is like in Lawrence.
