Calling all actors, singers, and dancers,
middle school to adult, to audition for Goodnight Moon.
This production is a new musical adaptation of the classic children’s book. Auditions will take place in the Main Stage Theatre on Saturday, November 10th from 11 am-2 pm. Those auditioning will present their audition material and then participate in a group audition. Please arrive early and be prepared to remain until 2 pm.
Those auditioning should:
Prepare a monologue (30-60 seconds)
Prepare 16 bars of a Broadway song with sheet music
Wear clothes they can dance in
Bring water
Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsals will run November 19th-January 17 and will typically occur Monday-Friday from 6-9 pm. Lead players will be called most evenings while ensemble members will have staggered calls at the beginning of the process. We will honor holiday/winter break with NO rehearsals November 21-25 or December 22-January 6.

Bunny: mischievous, curious, high energy, the protagonist of our story
Old Lady: caregiver of Bunny, kind, fussy, structured
Mouse: best friend of Bunny, curious, silly
Bears (3): sneaky, bold, playful
Clarabelle the Cow/Puppeteer: determined, hopeful, puppet/vocals
Cat: mischief maker, leader, friends with Dog and Dish/Spoon, potentially plays fiddle or violin
Dog: excited, wild, friends with Cat and Dish/Spoon
Dish/Spoon: excited, wild, friends with Cat and Dish/Spoon
Moon: vocals only, appears in the sky and sings
Tooth Fairy: wacky, high energy, goofy, sneaky
Kittens (3): sneaky, bold, playful
Clock: punctual, structured, announcer
Telephone: silly, obnoxious
Fireplace: wild, silly, excited
Magic Makers: all ensemble members will also serve as Magic Makers, helping create stage illusions throughout
