What is the SYT Internship Program?
SYT’s Internship Program is open to 8th-12th graders and college students who want to explore a hands-on theatre work study experience. Each student will be assigned a role for a specific show and will be required to attend weekly meetings over the course of eight weeks.
How is the summer’s Internship Program different this year?
This year SYT Interns are professional positions, meaning we will treat the experience like a job. We will only take eight to 10 applicants. All positions will be paid by stipend or hourly, depending on experience. Our goal is to provide specialized job training and real work experience to make students more competitive in the professional world.
How does the internship work?
Interns are reuqired to attend weekly meetings to discuss the productions they are working on and solve problems as a group. Interns are required to be on time to each meeting, rehearsal, and production, and to follow through on their assignment.
When and where will SYT interns meet?
Meetings will occur Thursdays from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at South Park, June 3, 10, 17, 24, and July 8, 15, 22, 29.
Who can apply?

Do I need previous experience to apply?
No experience is necessary, but it may be helpful. We invite students of all abilities and experience levels.
