Instructor Alicia Kelly finished up the final class of Installation Experimentation last night by giving the upstairs hallway of the Arts Center a completely new look.
The collaborative installation, “Hidden Secrets of the Prism,” by Kelly and students Kathy Pflaum, Robin Gingerich & Catherine C. Reed, combines recycled and reflective material to create an interactive zone focusing on the hidden delights and discoveries of light and life. Sliver, triangular cut vinyl pieces serve as conductors of light, inviting the viewer to step forward to catch a glimpse of the surprising elements of color inside the cardboard ‘prism.’
