Summer Camps
2026 | Ages 6-8 & 9-12
Ignite your creativity this summer! Artists will be inspired by a different weekly theme exploring various art media and techniques. Morning and afternoon projects are always different – register for both to attend a full day!
Campers need to bring a snack for each AM and PM section attending. All-day campers, in addition, should also bring a sack lunch to participate in a supervised ‘lunch bunch’ from 12:00-1:00 PM.

Design a small-scale cardboard building for your toys or pets as you work with fellow artists to assemble a mini-metropolis. We’ll learn what types of buildings make a community special before building small-scale cardboard structures. Go bananas for art history! Young artists will explore legendary movements by reimagining iconic masterpieces with a fruity twist. We’ll paint, sculpt, and sketch from Impressionism to Pop Art, mastering new techniques while creating a whole bunch of “peel-good” masterpieces. Tune in to the physics of acoustics! Work with Team STEAM Robotics to engineer custom instruments and noisemakers while investigating how ear shapes—human and animal—capture vibrations. Explode a rainbow to fill the world with color as we learn to mix paint, create beautiful patterns and express ourselves with kaleidoscope-like artworks. Inspired by our World Cup visiting team from Algeria, build the capital city of Algiers from the ground up this summer. We’ll learn about the unique fusion of North African, tradition Islamic, and French colonist architecture that gives the city its unique charm. Inspired by the highly decorated interiors of landmark buildings and the terraced cafés and shops of Rue Didouche Mourad, campers will assemble to make a kid-sized cityscape in the Main Lobby for our families and friends to tour at the end of the week. What will you discover in the magical forest? Dragons, unicorns, Hobbits, trolls, toadstools, gnomes, centaurs, talking trees—maybe creatures from your imagination you never knew existed! This camp will prepare young artists to sell their work at Art Mart as we fill our booths with handmade stickers and prints, learn simple projects for home décor, and create jewelry and fashion designs that will fly off the shelves. Each young artist will design and prepare a vendor’s booth before inviting family and friends to spend special “LAC Art Bucks” at the Art Mart grand opening! | Ages 6-8 | AM | Ages 9-12 | AM |

Anime-zing |

Learn to create anime inspired original characters and environments fit for storytelling. We’ll use artist’s pencils to learn proportions while sketching characters.
