The Haberdasher Prince

Lawrence Arts Center, Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance, and Lyric Opera of Kansas City present The Haberdasher Prince 🎶

LAWRENCE, March 6, 2024–Lawrence Arts Center, Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance, and Lyric Opera of Kansas City present The Haberdasher Prince on April 23.

The Haberdasher Prince is a new opera for intergenerational audiences, designed to be showcased in community spaces where families gather. This special performance at Lawrence Arts Center establishes a landmark collaboration curated to foster personal and meaningful connections to the art across the region.

The Haberdasher Prince is a universal story of authenticity with a magical soundscape greatly inspired by the rhythm and melodies of Indian classical music. We are thrilled that the concluding performance of our tour will feature Lawrence Children’s Choir and violinist Purnaprajna Bangere, two exceptional contributors to Lawrence’s world-class arts community,” said Neal Long, Director of Learning at Lyric Opera of Kansas City.

The Haberdasher Prince will appear at Lawrence Arts Center on Tuesday, April 23, at 6:30 pm. This event is free, but please make your reservations at lawrenceartscenter.org. A livestream option is also available.

This production is suitable for all ages.
