Thank You for Going Back to the Theatre with us for Free State Festival 2022!

Our hearts are FULL! Thank you to all who came together to experience film, music, art and togetherness for Free State Festival 2022 April 12-16. We journeyed through the past, deeply felt the present and dreamed for the future in five short days. We are sincerely grateful for every individual and group who came through the theatre doors last week to laugh, to cry, to help, and to heal.

From the accessibility-forward presentation of Dario Robleto’s stunning The Aorta of An Archivist, to a moving tribute to Oscar Micheaux and Kevin Willmott, the incomparable wit of John Waters, the impactful double bill of Home From School: The Children of Carlisle and Bring Her Home, the delectable short film tea and pastry pairings, the outpouring of love at Mama Bears, the stylish scares of The Stylist and the hilarious finale by Cameron Esposito, these moments brought us together in ways we won’t soon forget.

It was an honor to be with you and we are already looking forward to next year!
