Happy Birthday, Will!

Much Ado About Nothing, presented June 16, 17, 18 at 7:30pm & 19 at 3pm

Written by William Shakespeare | Directed by Elizabeth Sullivan

Young lovers Claudio and Hero fall in love and are married in one week.  To pass the time, they conspire with Don Pedro to set a “lover’s trap” for Benedick, an arrogant confirmed bachelor, and Beatrice, his favorite sparring partner.  Meanwhile, the evil Don Jon conspires to break up the wedding by accusing Hero of infidelity.  In the end, though, it all turns out to be “much ado about nothing.”

Midsummer Night’s Dream:  The Movie, presented July 21, 22 at 7:00pm & 23 at 3pm

From William Shakespeare by Will Averill | Directed by Trish Neuteboom

Hollywood stars, paparazzi, and fairies collide in this streamlined, multi-media enhanced version of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream.  Combining an abridged version of the original text with film and Powerpoint slides, this adaptation is a fresh and hilarious take on the beloved comedy about mismatched couples under the spell of a love potion — set to the flashing lights of the world of movies.
