Members of the education staff went to Louisville to represent the Lawrence Arts Center at the Mid-America Print Council Conference (MAPC). This biennial regional printmaking conference is the largest meet up of midwest printmakers; featuring panel discussions, demonstrations, and exhibitions.
Print Fellow Tonja Torgerson and Artist-in-Resident Tressa Jones hosted a booth at the Publishers’ Fair to spread the word about Ad Astra Editions, our Printmaking Residency, Print Week 2017, and the vibrant print community of Lawrence.
Tonja Torgerson was also nominated onto the Executive Board of MAPC, and looks forward to supporting the regional print community in her new role as Treasurer.
