At the Lawrence Arts Center, we try to make best use of our resources. We do our best to only order what is needed and reuse common household goods whenever we can. We are genuinely appreciative of community members who donate ‘in-kind gifts’ of goods and services to make this effort to be fiscally (and environmentally!) conscious possible.
Below is a list of some items you may have at home that we will gladly use:
-
- Clean and dry food containers (especially yogurt/cottage cheese containers of others of similar size)
- Paper tubes from paper towels, and gift wrap
- Cardboard rings from rolls of duct tape
- Fabric pieces for sewing classes
- Yarn – preferably full or partial skeins
- Old magazines for collage
- Colorful tissue paper for decoupage
- Clean and dry baby food jars with lids
- Paint brushes (especially good quality brushes for oil, acrylic, and watercolor)
- Working hair dryers
- Working clothes irons
- Rulers
- Scissors
Ordering art supplies from our Amazon Wishlist is also a great way to support our mission: Lawrence Arts Center – Needed Items!
And of course, monetary gifts are always an effective way to support the Arts Center, as they benefit all of our programs equally. Check out our main donation page to give a one time donation or become a Lawrence Arts Center Member!
We are incredibly grateful for the support we receive from community members like you. Thank you for helping us ensure that Art is For Everyone!
