The Lawrence Arts Center’s youth curatorial board, Hang12, invites the public to the White Schoolhouse (1510 N. 3rd St.) on November 7 from 4-8pm for Salad Days, a one-day exhibition featuring work by over twenty emerging and established local artists.
The term “salad days” harkens back to the words of Shakespeare, capturing the period of carefree idealism experienced in youth. The celebration is free to attend and features live music by Rilo & Dad, Cheery, and The Harrisonics. Attendees will enjoy interactive sculptures inspired by artist Juniper Tangpuz, live screen printing, a community art table, yummy salads, and tasty beverages by the Nostalgia Room.
