LAC’s own Kevin O’Malley created a cardboard art fennec fox in anticipation of the upcoming youth art camp, Box City: Algiers! The delightful rendition of Algeria’s national animal made its debut during last week’s Free State Festival in celebration of the Algerian soccer team’s home base in Lawrence. The team’s nickname is Les Fennecs and refers to the animal’s resiliency, adaptability and endurance. Our lobby has seen lots of new visitors in town to take photos with the fox.
