Introducing Play12!
Play12, the Lawrence Arts Center’s senior acting company, expands upon the foundation of acting and focuses on production, creation, community, and leadership skills through public performance.
8th-12th Grade
5:30-7:30pm, Mondays, Sept 12-Dec 5
Play12 is The Lawrence Arts Center’s youth premiere performance company. The company consists of 8-12th graders who produce, create, and performs shows and events in various locations within our community. Play12 creates and produces shows that highlight viewpoints and ideas important to Lawrence. Every 4 to 8 weeks, company members will work with a local artist or organization to collaborate on a specific event or performance, gaining skills from professionals.
Play12 meets on Mondays from 5:30-7:30pm at the Lawrence Arts Center. Company members will work together to produce shows and events, ranging from– improv comedy nights, youth band showcases, new play readings, to devising their own 10 minute plays. If you are seeking a space to express yourself, a way to connect to other artists, or real life experience within theatre, then please join Play12.
Play12 will launch in Fall 2016, meetings will be Mondays from 5:30-7:30pm, and will begin September 12, and go until December 5.
