There’s no shortage of youth art classes for you and your child to explore at Lawrence Arts Center! Give your child a leg up in life by allowing them to engage their full brain and develop vital social and emotional skills.

Students in our youth visual arts program have the opportunity to use high quality materials and learn from professional artists in our immersive courses. Watch your child investigate, develop, create, refine, and explore in a multitude of mediums!

To ensure our courses are accessible to all, there are financial aid options available, so don’t let cost hold you back from letting your child explore the arts!

Inspired by a Summer Youth Theater production of Alice in Wonderland, we’ll give our buildings a dream-like appearance and assemble our kid-sized cityscape in the Main Lobby for family, friends, and audiences to tour at the end of the week. This blended arts camp will combine Performing and Visual Arts Instructions. We’ll press ‘start’ on our imaginations to make art and tell stories inspired by our favorite video games. Campers will make puppets, props, and more to level up our storytelling for a special performance for family and friends at the end of the week.

Work together to learn traditional origami folding patterns, then choose your favorite to create oversized paper sculptures for your room or home. Once folded, we’ll use paintbrushes and other tools to add details and embellishments. Cost includes one adult and one child.

Bring some art to your patio or porch with a hand-painted pot…just in time for Mother’s Day! We’ll look at examples of traditional painted pottery motifs from around the world before sketching shapes and lines and painting designs of our own. When finished, we’ll pop in a plant and watch it grow. Cost includes one adult and one child.

Lawrence Arts Center is here to ensure anyone—of any age and any background—can connect with a supportive community and flex their creative muscles. With contemporary exhibitions, performances, and an array of music education classes for adults and kids, everyone will find something that’s right for them.

Our primary state-of-the-art facility at 940 New Hampshire St. features classrooms, studios, theatres, and more. To further support the community, we also have a space for classes and rehearsal at 10th & Mass Studios.
