Cindy Kersenbrock (she/her/hers) is a teaching artist whose mission is to empower herself and others through art. With over three decades of teaching experience, she brings insight and enthusiasm to her instruction. A lifelong artist, Cindy produces works of art in a variety of media and is especially passionate about working with clay. She is currently the ceramics teacher at Gardner Edgerton High School in Gardner, Kansas and a part time instructor at the Lawrence Arts Center where she teaches teen and family clay classes. Cindy is a certified yoga instructor who seeks to find ways to incorporate art and yoga to facilitate healing and self expression. A Nebraska native who has spent her adult life in Kansas, Cindy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bethany College and a Master of Education from Baker University.

Young artists five and older can join an adult to make art side-by-side in this family and friends introductory clay class! Students will learn to use their hands to pinch, coil, model, and build with clay to create small sculptures and functional objects.
