Michelle Rogne works as a full time ceramic artist, selling her work at art festivals and online. She holds a BS in natural sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtained her art education at the Lawrence Arts Center. Her work is inspired by her time spent working as a field biologist and traveling.

This camp will introduce students to the skills needed to create a pot on the wheel with guided instruction as we practice creating functional forms. When not on the wheel, students can explore hand-building techniques to create small objects and sculptures.

Create fashionable clay adornments using hand-building techniques to create pendants, earrings, pins, and bracelets. Students will also make a ceramic jewelry box, ring holder, or earring tree to hold our ceramic treasures. Students in this class are encouraged to attend an additional session on Saturday, August 17th to assemble their jewelry creations.
