Youth Visual Arts

I am a Lawrence, Kansas native, born & raised. I am an educator, artist, and mother. As an educator, one of my highest priorities for children is to empower and inspire them to appreciate their own unique worth, ideas, and abilities. As an artist, I enjoy experimenting and creating with many mediums. My most intimate medium is poetry–painting portraits of my mind with words. I also enjoy combining aspects of visual arts with poetry. On another line, I am a professional henna artist. I draw significant inspiration from the natural world, music, emotion, and human beings traveling along in the dance of life. My philosophy: Living, in itself, is the most grand and epic expression and curation of one's art.

Each young artist will design and prepare a vendor’s booth before inviting family and friends to spend special ‘LAC Art Bucks’ at the Art Mart grand opening!
