VOLUNTEERS

Parent Volunteers- for PUFFS

First and foremost, I would like to thank you in advance for volunteering your time and energy to be a part of our amazing summer theatre community. The Lawrence Arts Center welcomes and encourages parent/guardian volunteers as an important component of our process. We believe that parents enhance the experiences for young actors. Your involvement helps us to maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all of our performers, technicians, patrons, and staff.

We would love to offer you a free ticket as a trade for your time as a volunteer.

  • If you sign up as an usher or concession help, we would like to offer you a free ticket for that performance.
  • If you sign up for backstage support, we would like to offer you a ticket in the form of a gift certificate to use for one of the other performances. Gift Certificates will be issued 24 hours after you sign up, starting on Tuesday.

Our process has changed a little: All adults working within the arts center, age 18 years of age and older are required to pass criminal background checks to work in the arts center, including volunteer roles.  This information is private and will be kept on file with our Human Resources Department.

Step 1: Please register HEREyou will be entered into the system. (No need to register if you’ve already submitted in the last year)

Step 2: You will receive an email from our Volunteer Coordinator, Lisa, with the next steps, including filling out a Volunteer Background Check Form.

Step 3: Processing your background check will take 24-48 hours. Once processed, you will receive an email informing you that you are clear and in our “Active” volunteer pool.

Step 4: Once active, you will receive an email with volunteer opportunities and other information.

After completing the above steps-  Sign up for a spot HERE
