Learn to draw, paint, scratch, and drip colorful clay slips to make whimsical designs. We’ll practice on tile wall hangings before designing colorful clay cups!

This camp will introduce students to the skills needed to create a pot on the wheel with guided instruction as we practice creating functional forms. When not on the wheel, students can explore hand-building techniques to create small objects and sculptures.

This clay sculpture class will celebrate the small and shrink big things into pocket-sized art. We’ll learn to model, shape, and assemble clay with specialized tools and even practice making a mini-pot on a pint-sized potter’s wheel.

Learn to model tiny food-themed ceramic sculptures good enough to eat! Students will have the opportunity to make their sculptures into charms, pendants, or shadowbox sculptures.

Learn the basics of wedging, centering, wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing while making functional objects like cylinders, mugs, bowls, and plates.

Learn the basics of both jewelry as well as small ceramic making. Explore using Nichrome wire in both functional and sculptural ways. Also learn how to color clay using mason stains. This course is suitable for beginners who have never worked with clay. No class on June 19th.
