Join us for an evening with printmaking artist Samantha Mendoza, as she discusses her recent solo show, All That’s Forgotten.
Samantha Mendoza is a visual artist based in Kansas City, MO. Working in traditional print media (primarily in the form of relief), she constructs narrative imagery that blends self-inquiry with observational storytelling. Her themes revolve around love and loss, mental health, and human fallibility, all the while peppering in explorations of ‘womanhood.’ She began her printmaking education at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California— later earning a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and MFA from Northern Illinois University. Samantha is a co-founder of Twin Hound Print Shop, located in the West Bottoms of KCMO, and is currently serving as a Visiting Artist Professor at Southern Oregon University.
