Marketing Photography Internship
Job description
The Lawrence Arts Center is seeking highly motivated student interns ready for on-the-job training in photography. Interns will gain practical experience in an incredibly unique, non-profit environment, learning the various photography skills needed for marketing use from a professional photographer.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a calendar of events that need coverage
- Photograph day-to-day happenings at the Arts Center, events, performances, exhibitions, and unique projects
- Assist with shooting, editing, and organizing images
- Help build the Arts Center’s photography archive
- Engage with the community through photography
- Provide perspective on what images captivate our audience through social media platforms
- Other photography tasks, day-to-day capturing for social media platforms (i.e. phone photography, reels, etc.)
- Recording Insight Art Talks, up to three per 6-8 weeks
Additional information
This internship is for college credit or experience only.
Position requirements
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Effective communication skills in person and across multiple mediums
- Detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn while contributing to the team’s knowledge base
- Effective time management
- Strong interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
- Experience using a DSLR camera (bonus!)
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (bonus!)
- Experience using Dropbox (bonus!)
- Experience using Canva (bonus!)
- Experience using iMovie (bonus!)
