Marketing & Community Engagement Internship [mktg]
Job description
The Lawrence Arts Center is seeking highly motivated student interns ready for on-the-job training in the marketing department. Interns will gain practical experience in an incredibly unique, non-profit environment, learning the various day-to-day skills of a marketing department.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the internal calendar of events and post events on community calendars
- Assist with producing our tri-yearly Classes & Events catalog, including print ad sales, editing and proofreading
- Help build the Arts Center’s social media presence, including content creation, planning, publishing and community management
- Foster community engagement by developing and implementing new Art for All activities
- Provide a student-based perspective to marketing brainstorms and tactics
- Data analysis; organize, evaluate and provide recommendations
- Other tasks, based on the intern’s interests and Arts Center special events
Additional information
This internship is for college credit only.
Position requirements
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Effective communication skills in person and across multiple mediums
- Detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn while contributing to the team’s knowledge base
- Effective time management
- Strong interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
- Working knowledge of AP Style (bonus!)
- Experience using Dropbox (bonus!)
- Experience using Canva (bonus!)
- Experience using a DSLR camera (bonus!)
