
Maya Sabatini
School of Theatre and Music, Assistant Costume Designer
Maya Sabatini (she/her) is a Lawrence, KS native and a LAC alumni. She has been involved in the performing arts for almost two decades; she started out as a dancer but has now transitioned to costuming. Maya currently studies visual arts education at the University of Kansas and works on productions at LAC whenever she can. This past summer she had the pleasure of working with SYT on Cinderella: Or How Pipsqueak the Mouse Became a Stallion and this spring with LAC’s School of Dance on Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. She is working on the SYT production of Cabaret this July as well as teaching the July Costuming Basics class.

Explode a rainbow to fill the world with color as we learn to mix paint, create beautiful patterns and express ourselves with kaleidoscope-like artworks. We’ll look to artists that evoke emotion using color for guidance as we make sculptures, paintings and prints full of wild colors! No class July 3.
