Jerry Dowdle

Adult Visual Arts

Jerry (she/her) grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and has lived in Lawrence for many years. She graduated from KU with a degree in secondary education and did work creating interactive multimedia curriculum. She has been a practicing artist for most of her life. Currently she travels and sells her artwork in juried art fairs. Being an environmentally concerned fiber artist, she collects and recycles used natural fiber for her creations. Jerry processes the fiber using wet felting, dyeing, and eco-printing techniques. During processing, her design ideas evolve and needle felting, sculpting, and sewing techniques finalize one-of-a-kind hats and other wearables. You can find her work at https://www.etsy.com/shop/TerranJerran, or on her website at https://www.tamingthetattered.com/.
