In this introductory jazz class, students will learn the fundamentals for stylized jazz choreography while building rhythm, coordination, and character skills.

The Jazz Dance program features various styles of jazz including classic, Broadway, and contemporary. Beginning students focus on building rhythm, coordination, and character skills until they are ready for syncopation movements, body isolations, dynamic leaps, suspended turns, and stylized choreography. This intermediate-level class aims to develop the dancer's ability to produce dynamic leaps, turns, kicks, body part isolation, syncopation, counter rhythm, and perform stylized choreography.
