Allison McNellis

Dance Instructor


A Lawrence native, Allison grew up training at the Lawrence Arts Center under the direction of Cynthia Crews as a member of the Lawrence Ballet Theatre. As a student, she has had the opportunity to perform in dozens of LAC productions and travel to various universities across the country as a member of the prestigious Regional Dance America. Allison is a student at the University of Kansas studying Applied Behavioral Science, emphasizing in Early Childhood Education and Intervention, as well as Communication Studies.

This class brings caregivers and children together to build mobility and foster creativity using developmentally appropriate songs and games. We will use creative dance as a springboard into exploration and discovery expressing stories, ideas, and dreams all while learning the ins and outs of being in a classroom/dance studio setting.

School of Dance's Little Movers classes are designed to improve motor skills and self-control as well as encourage confidence in movement within a playful environment. Enroll in age-appropriate classes.
