Group violin class to work on fundamentals and develop good technique. Students will need to purchase Essential Elements for Strings - Violin Book 1 with EEi Students must provide their own instrument.

Students work on finishing and perfecting the four beginner soft shoe dances (reel, light jig, hop jig, slip jig), and three beginner hard shoe dances (hornpipe, treble jig, St. Patrick’s Day set dance). We then begin advanced soft shoe techniques.

For those who have completed of Irish dance 1 and with teacher recommendation.

Students will learn advanced speed reel, slip jig, treble jig and hornpipe.

For those who has completed Irish dance 3 and with teacher recommendation.

Beginner-level students will learn fundamental movements and learn to combine them into upbeat group dances called céilís.

No previous experience required.

These classes are upbeat and involve traditional and choreographed modern Irish dances. Beginner-level students will learn fundamental movements and the basic jig and reel steps.

Grades 2-8, No previous experience required. No class on July 4.

Irish dancers will add the Hop Jig and the Slip Jig to their beginner soft shoe repertoire, and learn basic hard shoe movements.

Connecting with heritage music is a natural way to connect with culture. Students will learn fiddle tunes in a traditional style with opportunities to provide music for Irish dancers. Students must bring their own violin and have 2+ years of experience.
