The adult dance program offers a variety of techniques for first-time dancers as well as those pursuing a lifelong interest in dance. Instructors specifically organize curricula to emphasize progress over perfection and experiencing the joy of dance.

For those with prior pointe experience. Must also be enrolled in Tuesday Adult Ballet II/III.

Step through the wardrobe and bring this beloved tale to life through dance! Explore a variety of dance styles with Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter on their adventure through Narnia while meeting mythical creatures and facing the White Witch. With themed choreography and costumes, dancers will build technique, confidence, and artistry in a magical setting with a performance on the final day of camp.

Some prior dance experience is required. No camp on July 4.

Are you ready to clear some stress and focus on your well-being? Summer is associated with the element of fire and the heart center in traditional Chinese medicine. Let’s cultivate some joy and connection! Like its “sister form,” tai chi, qi gong includes gentle, flowing movements, and, like yoga, it contains stretches, postures, breathing, and meditation. We will also do tapping and knocking from traditional Chinese medicine to activate pressure points. This practice does not require previous experience and is suited to all levels of ability. Exercises may be modified for injury, limited mobility, or increased challenge. Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move. You can be barefoot, or wear shoes, but no street shoes in the dance studio, please.

The Jazz Dance program features various styles of jazz including classic, Broadway, and contemporary. Beginning students focus on building rhythm, coordination, and character skills until they are ready for syncopation movements, body isolations, dynamic leaps, suspended turns, and stylized choreography.
