Enrollment in both pointe classes and the prior ballet technique classes are required. First-year students wear ballet slippers until approved to purchase and wear pointe shoes. Classes focus on strengthening the body and using proper technique in preparation for the rigors of dancing en pointe. In addition to the two pointe classes, Ballet V-VI students are required to enroll in three ballet technique classes per week.
