Gayle Singer | Bridging Form

Gayle Singer is inspired by structural elements, growth processes, and the abstraction of forms found in nature. Energy, tension, and motion are compelling forces she continually strives to emulate in her work, best translated through how she manipulates and exaggerates the clay’s plasticity. Singer’s approach to the material is direct, yet responsive to its innate properties. The hand and material connection that clay provides, in relation to the use of the potter’s wheel, engages her physically and allows her to respond spontaneously.

Karen Matheis | Migratory Maps

Karen Matheis’ work celebrates movement, memory, and landscape through abstract interpretations. The land around us integrates into our daily lives as we participate in activities such as traveling in a car and running along streets. Viewing landscape as an evolving space fosters exploration that transcends viewing our environment through a picture window.

Song for Artists | Group Exhibition

Song for Artists is a group exhibition bridging music and visual arts. While visual art captures what we see and feel, music captures what we hear and feel, both capable of evoking profound emotional responses that elevate our understanding of ourselves and each other.  Each artist approaches their practice uniquely, incorporating influences from bands, individual musicians, or songs.

Art for All: Welcome Inspiration

Visit the main lobby for two free self-guided art-making activities inspired by our 2026-27 artists in residence.

Paper Ghosts:
Create small paper ghosts with cartoonish facial expressions inspired by the recurring ghost imagery found in our new ceramic resident, Reece Henderson’s work.

Collaborative Mural Drawing:
Draw large-scale and collaboratively with provided markers on a giant sheet of paper lining our main lobby wall! Inspired by the collaborative drawing work of our new printmaking resident, Hibiki Miyazaki.

Adult Improv Performance Troupe Series | September 2026

The Adult Improv Performance Troupe will be putting on a show in the Black Box Theater at 7:30 pm.

Join us for an evening of zany comedy. Free and open to the public; $10 suggested donation.
