Jason Wang | Closing Tea Tasting

Join Lawrence Arts Center Ceramics Artist-in-Residence Jason Wang for a guided tour of his current solo exhibition, where you’ll select a handmade ceramic cup to enjoy a curated tea tasting led by Ling-Lung Chen.

Central to Jason’s practice is an exploration of community and connection through tactile mark-making. His ceramic vessels serve as vehicles for bringing people together—objects meant to be held, carrying the traces of one person’s hands into another’s. Experience the exhibition through touch by drinking tea from a cup created in collaboration with members of the community.

Community members who participated in altering a cup will be invited to take home a different participant’s cup. Guests who did not contribute a cup are asked to leave theirs behind so that participating community members can pick them up from August 3-8.
