The Jazz Dance program features various styles of jazz including classic, Broadway, and contemporary. Beginning students focus on building rhythm, coordination, and character skills until they are ready for syncopation movements, body isolations, dynamic leaps, suspended turns, and stylized choreography.

In this introductory jazz class, students will learn the fundamentals for stylized jazz choreography while building rhythm, coordination, and character skills. No class Mar 11, Mar 18.

Those enrolling are expected to be familiar with general policies, attire, and opportunities outlined in the School of Dance Handbook.
