Paige Patterson
Dance Instructor
Paige Patterson started ballet training at age nine in Topeka, KS, at Barbara’s Conservatory of Dance and danced with Ballet Midwest for many years, performing several principal roles. Paige received ballet training at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, before returning to The University of Kansas to pursue a degree in History of Art. She has taught many dance forms, but primarily teaches ballet to all ages and skill levels. She especially enjoys teaching dancers to begin dancing en pointe. She also choreographs, directs and costumes full-scale dance productions, including most recently, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and La Fille mal Gardeé. Paige teaches ballet for the Kansas City Ballet School, Lawrence Dance Gallery and Point B Adult dance. She is certified to teach Progressing Ballet Technique. Paige has worked for the Lawrence Arts Center in many capacities for over 20 years.

Enrollment in both Tues/Thurs Pointe and the prior ballet technique classes are required. First-year students wear ballet slippers until approved to purchase and wear pointe shoes. Classes focus on strengthening the body and using proper technique in preparation for the rigors of dancing en pointe. In addition to the two pointe classes, Ballet V-VI students are required to enroll in three ballet technique classes per week.No class Nov. 27.
