What will you discover in the magical forest? Dragons, unicorns, Hobbits, trolls, toadstools, gnomes, centaurs, talking trees—maybe creatures from your imagination you never knew existed! Art elements such as shape, form, and texture will help guide you in your creation of a very magical ecosystem as you create a large scale Magical Forest art installation.

This camp will prepare young artists to sell their work at Art Mart as we fill our booths with handmade stickers and prints, learn simple projects for home décor, and create jewelry and fashion designs that will fly off the shelves. Each young artist will design and prepare a vendor's booth before inviting family and friends to spend special "LAC Art Bucks" at the Art Mart grand opening!

Embark on a wild adventure across the African plains! Young explorers will craft majestic animal sculptures and vibrant grassland landscapes. We’ll investigate unique patterns and textures before arranging our creations in an installation for family and friends to visit.

Tune in to the physics of acoustics! Work with Team STEAM Robotics to engineer custom instruments and noisemakers while investigating how ear shapes—human and animal—capture vibrations. After exploring the science of sound, we’ll compose a unique soundscape for a special end-of-week performance.

Design a small-scale cardboard building for your toys or pets as you work with fellow artists to assemble a mini-metropolis. We'll learn what types of buildings make a community special before building small-scale cardboard structures. Our finished designs will be arranged in the Main Lobby for family and friends to visit at the end of the week.

Explore the often overlooked, tiny members of our world’s ecosystems as subjects of mixed-media art projects! Paint, draw, and sculpt, all things living, crawling, and adorably small.
