Jason Wang

2025-25 Ceramic Artist in Residence

Jason Wang is a visual artist originally from Kansas City. Jason earned a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2020 in Kansas City, MO, and in 2021 was a resident at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN. In 2025, Jason received his MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. His practice is deeply informed by the social aspect of pottery; through an exploration into dinnerware vessels, he strives to foster conversation and build community. This dedication to community engagement led him to co-found the very first 2025 Ohio University Atmospheric Conference.
