Dorothy Hoyt-Reed retired from teaching Spanish at Basehor Linwood in 2013. She has lived in Lawrence for 32 years, except for one year teaching in Missouri and 6 months studying in Costa Rica. Dorothy always lived in the area spending the first half of her life in Ottawa. She is married with 2 children, 2 grandchildren, and 2 of the cutest great-granddaughters in the whole world. Dorothy studied stained glass at the Art Center with Shanna Wagner and operates her own studio, Oz Art Glass. Dorothy is looking forward to teaching at the Art Center.
