Join us for an evening with 2025-2026 Ceramics Artist-in-Residence, Jason Wang, as he discusses his recent solo exhibition, Be-Longing!

Jason Wang is a visual artist from Kansas City and the 2025-2026 Ceramics Artist-in-Residence at the Lawrence Arts Center. Jason earned a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2020 in Kansas City, MO, and in 2021 was a resident at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN. In 2025, Jason received his MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. His practice is deeply informed by the social aspect of pottery; through an exploration into dinnerware vessels, he strives to foster conversation and build community. This dedication to community engagement led him to co-found the very first 2025 Ohio University Atmospheric Conference.
