    Irish dance is upbeat and involves choreographed traditional and non-traditional dances. Beginner-level students will learn fundamental movements like the basic jig and reel steps. Intermediate-level students will incorporate more complicated patterns and preparations for hard shoes. All are welcome to join the Irish Dance program and enjoy this percussive dance form.

    Beginner-level students will learn fundamental movements and learn to combine them into upbeat group dances called céilís. No class Jan. 19, Mar. 16.

    Enrollment in both Tues/Thurs Pointe and the prior ballet technique classes are required. First-year students wear ballet slippers until approved to purchase and wear pointe shoes. Classes focus on strengthening the body and using proper technique in preparation for the rigors of dancing en pointe. In addition to the two pointe classes, Ballet V-VI students are required to enroll in three ballet technique classes per week. No class Mar. 10, Mar. 17.
