Figure Model

The Lawrence Arts Center is seeking Figure Models to support visual arts classes, workshops, and open studio sessions. Figure models work with instructors and students in a professional, respectful studio environment and pose for Figure Drawing, Anatomy, Portraiture, and Open Model classes. Modeling opportunities may include both clothed and nude figure modeling, depending on the class or session. Models may be asked to hold a variety of poses, ranging from short gesture poses to longer sustained poses.

Apply today if you are comfortable working in a visual arts studio and are reliable, professional, and interested in supporting instructors and art students through the figure modeling process. Previous modeling experience is helpful but not required. Models should be comfortable with the expectations of both clothed and nude figure modeling and able to work collaboratively with instructors and students.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Figure modeling is a contract, part-time position with opportunities scheduled according to class and workshop needs. Compensation is $15/hour.

Specific expectations, including whether a session involves clothed or nude modeling, pose duration, breaks, and other session details, will be communicated to models in advance. Models are expected to maintain professional boundaries and follow Lawrence Arts Center studio policies and instructor direction.
