The Lawrence Arts Center is hiring part-time Front Desk Administrators. Shifts will include evenings, weekends, and possibly days, approximately 15 hours per week. In addition, fill-in shifts are required to ensure coverage during business hours of operation, 9 am-9 pm Monday-Saturday and 9 am-5 pm on Sundays.

This position is hiring qualified applicants for the Kansas Work-Study Program.

Applicants can gain experience for a future career in Art History studies, museum studies, business administration, finance, accounting, business/commerce, and more.

Starting pay range $13-15 per hour.

Position requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to calculate sums of money and apply percentages.
  • Previous database experience previous such as Salesforce, and Asana.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, Google systems, etc.
  • Flexibility to work during Arts Center’s hours of operations of 9am-9pm Mondays through Saturdays, and 9am to 5pm on Sundays, allowing time for open and close.
  • Ability to track events in the building and satellite location and understand the scope of the organization’s programming to better answer customer questions.
  • Ability to work from a standing workstation with a leaning stool. Accommodations can be provided.
  • Comfort with completing routine walkthroughs of the facility before open, and/or before close when other persons may or may not be in the building.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as packages, and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and facilitating clean work environments.
