This production is based on E.T.A. Hoffman’s original story and set in Lawrence, Kansas during the Civil War era. This ballet production tells the story of how Drosselmeyer and Clara liberate the Nutcracker from the clutches of the Mouse King. This family production is for audiences of all ages. Be a part of this winter seasonal favorite! Auditions are Saturday, September 14.
Auditioning for the production is FREE but pre-registration online by Sept. 12 is required. Audition applicants are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to their audition time and dressed wearing appropriate dance attire. Applicants do not need to prepare any material prior to the audition but youth applicants are required to be enrolled in Intro to Ballet-VII classes at the Arts Center. There are no requirements for adults.

Due to fewer rehearsals, attending all rehearsals is required.
Regular rehearsals scheduled during: Saturday/Sunday, October 19-Nov. 24, 12-6:30 pm
Brush up rehearsal scheduled during: Monday/Friday, December 3-6, 4:30-8:30 pm
Full cast tech rehearsal, Saturday-Thursday, Dec 7-12, Time TBA

Registration required: FA-DYNKB $165.00 participation fee, no fee for adults and Lawrence Ballet Theatre.
