Summer Youth Theatre
Summer Youth Theatre programming & classes range from performing in full-fledged productions, serving as a backstage technician, participating in a week long theatre exploration camp, or applying for our high school & college internship positions. There is truly something for everyone. Opportunities are available for Pre/K-K all the way through undergraduate ages.
Summer Youth Theatre Mainstage Productions
For 49 fabulous years, the Summer Youth Theatre program has provided intensive training in all aspects of dramatic theatre in our Mainstage SYT productions. Using Broadway musicals, classic dramas, and original works, students learn by doing. They receive training from professional directors, costume designers, stage designers, stage managers, choreographers, actors, and dancers.

Join us for SYT classes & camps! Ranging from Preschool-Kindergarden Creative Play week- long camps, Grades 1-4 Rookie Make-a-Play week long camps, Grades 4-8 & 8-12 Directing Labs, Grades 5-12 Technical Theatre & Costuming, and Adult Improv & Movement for Adult Actors.

Summer Youth Theatre Internship Program
SYT’s Internship Program is open to high school and college students who want to explore a hands-on theatre work study experience. Each student will be assigned a role for a specific show and will be required to attend weekly meetings over the course of eight weeks. We will be taking a total of twelve to fourteen participants this summer. All positions will be paid by stipend. Our goal is to provide specialized job training and real work experience to make students more competitive in the professional world.
