Performing Arts this January: Welcome to a New Season!

Atmosphere is here!

Finding its home in the middle exhibition gallery, Atmosphere is the newest event in the Theatre and Dance for the Very young program. This work is a six-week long installation and a recurring performance set inside the installation. The interactive (and touchable!) installation, designed by guest artist Sharon McCaman, will be open to the public from January 10th through February 22nd for free. The ticketed performances of Atmosphere feature live music, dancing, and exploration and will occur at select times each week starting January 16th. Come explore clouds, wind, light, and rain in this delightful performance for the very young (and curious folks of all ages)! This project was built in partnership with Ballard Center (featured in the photo above) through our Play Lab research series.

Learn more about two of our incredible performers in their featured spotlights: Rachel Cross and Sadie Barbee. Also, don’t miss out on an INSIGHT Art Talk on January 27th with Sharon McCaman, the visiting artist behind the entire interactive installation for Atmosphere.
