October Activity in the School of Dance

Oct. 5-6 | Rehearsals Begin for the The Nutcracker, A Kansas Ballet

It’s time to rehearse! The Nutcracker cast will begin rehearsing the majority of roles on the first weekend of October; regular rehearsals continue through November 24. Cast members should refer to the rehearsal schedule for days/times, locations, breaks, as well as Tech Week and Performance call times. This year’s Nutcracker is sure to be memorable!

Oct. 7-13 | Class Observation Week

Hosted each semester, the School of Dance’s Parent Observation Week is an opportunity to see student progress in the classroom. Parent Observation Week is open to parents and caregivers, however seating is limited. We encourage observers to arrive a few minutes early to class to get settled. No RSVPs necessary; this is an informal opportunity to experience your student in the classroom. Contact Amy Hope with questions at amyh@lawrenceartscenter.org.

Oct. 31 | Halloween Holiday/No Classes After 12:00 pm
