Monday Night Mixer Series Enrolling Now: Ales & Tales

What does a professional Storyteller do, exactly? For Priscilla Howe, the job requires recalling and embellishing some of the earliest stories recorded across world cultures, traversing more than her fair share of TSA lines (to tell stories in fourteen countries across four continents), speaking fluent English, French, and Bulgarian, working as an academic librarian, and ultimately, mastering the art of making stuff up. Oh, and then there are the puppets…

We are happy to have Priscilla join us this fall at the Lawrence Arts Center for “Ales and Tales: a Night of Word Games,” part of our Monday Night Mixer series. Meeting on Monday, September 17th, the one-night session boasts an agenda of written and spoken word games, whimsy, outlandishness, and of course drinks. Participants are sure to enjoy Priscilla’s abundance of energy and humor, both of which can be sampled on her website.
